With over 30 years of experience Bizzy Cars has established itself as a reliable, professional and safe taxi service operating in the three counties of Herefordshire Worcestershire and Shropshire.
After starting as a local firm in Tenbury Wells we expanded our fleet to offer a comprehensive airport transfer service to all UK airports and seaports, whilst continuing to provide dependable local journeys.
We don't operate a rank so all of our work is pre-booked and confirmed in writing to you to ensure no details are missed. You will be taken door to door from your pick up to your drop off point, and can take full advantage of our take and wait service for events and appointments.

I am a retired IT consultant, having worked for Fujitsu – the Japanese Information Technology and Services Company - from 1974 until 2012, designing IT solutions for the M.O.D. and other UK government departments, international banks, and several other large organizations including the BBC and Marks and Spencer. After moving to Tenbury Wells in 2010 and retiring from full-time employment in 2012, I decided to seek part-time employment, and the opportunity of driving work with Bizzy Cars really interested me. I have held a full driving licence since 1964, but of course I had to be re-examined for my driving skills; and tested on various other competences required for obtaining a Hackney carriage / private hire driving licence. I have been driving for Bizzy Cars since July 2012, and thoroughly enjoy meeting the many customers and accompanying them to their desired destinations. I have met a lot of pleasant and interesting people during the five and a half years of driving and working for Bizzy Cars.
I am married to Jenny and we live a mile and a half from Tenbury Wells. Jenny retired from a nursing career in March 2017. We have a son who lives in Prague, and a daughter who lives in Surrey; both are married and each has two sons. My hobbies include bellringing (campanology) and beekeeping, as well as the occasional game of whist.
I am a full member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists having passed my advanced driving test in October 2014.
Hugh, aged 60, was born to a country farming family at Milson in South Shropshire and was educated locally at Hightree House, Leintwardine; Aymestrey School, near Worcester; and Lucton School, near Leominster in Herefordshire. Fascinated about flying from the age of 11 having seen the X-15 Rocket Plane on film, he learnt to fly at nearby Shobdon airfield in Herefordshire shortly after leaving school in 1970 and has had a varied career in aviation ever since; flying aircraft as diverse as the De Havilland Beaver, Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer, Twin Otter and the Shorts SD 360; acquiring over 12000 Hours to date. Since being made redundant in 2009, he has continued to fly occasionally as a part time instructor and currently lives with his partner Wendy near to Ludlow where has recently written a book entitled “Unfit to Fly” about his previous 40 year old career. He now works for Bizzy Cars, a job which he enjoys having given up hopes of flying commercially again. He looks forward to meeting new taxi clients and might, if he is lucky, persuade you to buy a copy of his book!
